About Diana Misdary
Diana is an Egyptian native who grew up in New Jersey. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Villanova University and her Master of Arts from Chestnut Hill College. She worked for the Mayor’s Office of Civic Engagement and the Martin Luther King Day of Service before working in education. She taught at YouthBuild Charter School in North Philadelphia and at KIPP: DuBois Collegiate Academy in West Philadelphia. She is the recipient of KIPP Philadelphia’s STAR Teacher Award and Qatar Foundation International’s Arabic Teacher Initiative Grant. She and her husband live in Philadelphia where they enjoy long walks on the Schuylkill, meandering through Reading Terminal Market and $5 movie Tuesdays.
