NEHS Music Showcase on the Plaza

As an extension and celebration of Northeast High School's (NEHS) involvement in the creation of An Immigrant Alphabet, the NEHS band, choir, color guard, and drama students performed a winter concert on the plaza in front of the installation in December of 2017. Organized with Dr. Jay Fluellen, the concert featured a performance by the first group of students to participate in the after school Al-Amal Percussion Ensemble led by Hafez Kotain and facilitated by Al-Bustan at NEHS. SEAMAAC Performance on the Plaza

During An Immigrant Alphabet's time at the Municipal Services Building, we have had a number of wonderful partner organizations showcase their work in relation to the immigrant experience! SEAAMAC’s students performed a hip-hop routine with #iAlphabet as the backdrop.
