This past October, Ahlan: Embracing Community with Arab Arts engaged more than 250 Philadelphians, bringing together students in our after-school Arab arts program at Moffet Elementary Public School and our Arab Percussion Ensemble class from University of Pennsylvania — all led by master percussionist Hafez Kotain.

Students were instilled with a sense of confidence, pride, and teamwork that only performing on stage can provide. Community members, parents, and friends were greeted by the welcoming sounds of drums, creative art activities, and delicious food to share in the company of warm guests.

Throughout the year, with the dedication of our team of artists, educators, staff, volunteers, and board members, we strive to provide free artistic programs at public schools and in the community, bringing together youth and adults from all walks of life to experience our educational programs and concert series.

With your generous donations, we can continue to transport children on a memorable journey — from seats to stage!

We hope you will consider making a gift to Al-Bustan before December 31 so that we can continue to provide these enriching opportunities for Philadelphia’s students and to meet our matching challenge of $15,000 as pledged by gracious supporters.

Donate today — be a part of the journey from the seats to the stage!

from Nov 6 to Dec 31 $9,080 contributed by 59 supporters – SHUKRAN!
