Al-Bustan Community Engagement Fellows
Community Engagement Fellows will be working on a civic engagement project which combines voter registration and activist art. In addition to seeking voter registrations and engaging in voter education through phone/text banking and tabling you would be involved in our art-based approach to connect with the people and get out the vote at community events, at college and high schools, and other sites. The staffers must be based in or around Philadelphia. This position is very flexible for students and others seeking part time work. We are hoping to identify interested candidates as soon as possible. The position is particularly ideal for those who would like to gain experience in community organizing and at an arts nonprofit organization while giving back to this city and its underserved communities.
Prior experience is not required, and training is available. Arabic language fluency is preferred but not required. Regular access to the internet is required.
