Ahmad Almallah is a Philadelphia-based Palestinian poet and scholar, will be reading from his book Bitter English, an autobiography-in-verse that explores the role language plays in our identities. He brings a fresh poetic voice to the American immigrant experience.
Lena Khalaf Tuffaha is a poet, essayist, and translator based in Seattle. Her upcoming chapter book, Letters from the Interior, highlights the role of women as protectors of culture in contexts of trauma, war, and displacement.
Nathalie Handal is an author and professor at Columbia University. who draws on her diverse and multicultural background through out her work. Life in a Country Album speaks on borders and citizenship, hybrid identities and home, freedom and pleasure.
