Al-Bustan Seeds of Culture and Mural Arts Philadelphia are pleased to present (DIS)PLACED Public Forum #3
A participatory afternoon exploring stories of place and displacement, with collective art-making, conversation, and food.

Public Forum #1 focused on conversations around arrival in Philadelphia and starting a new home, while Public Forum #2 continued conversations focused on journeys, with music and poetry performances.
Public Forum #3 will explore origins with inspiration from stories of 9 individual as compiled by writer Ann de Forest and photographer Dave Tavani. Visual artist Ali Abdel Mohsen will guide attendees in two hours of art-making reflecting their personal responses to the stories. The afternoon will end with refreshments from local restaurants. Afterwards, the artwork created will be compiled in a quilt-like format and displayed as a collective along 40th Street.
