Northeast High School (NEHS), the largest public school in Philadelphia, is one of the most diverse high schools in the nation, serving over 3,300 students, with 56 languages spoken and 750 ESOL students.

Since 2005, Al-Bustan has maintained a partnership with NEHS and neighborhood residents. Through a variety of initiatives, from summer arts camp and supporting an Arab students’ after-school club, to offering in-school arts classes and community service projects, Al-Bustan teaching artists and educators have engaged in various capacities with the Northeast community.
